Power Rangers at times has Girl Power episodes to show that the female rangers actually are important. However, a lot of the time they are met with certain criticisms. I'll be comparing two episodes- RPM's "Dome Dolls" and Megaforce's "United We Stand"

Megaforce: Thoughts So Far
Well, we're four episodes into a quite short season, and I must say that I've been quite impressed by what's been served up so far. The 20th Anniversary for PR looks like it's going to be an interesting one, and now that we've gotten over the initial hump, there are a few thoughts I have about the season so far.

Mega Mission Review
Well, Megaforce has begun and the first episode has hit the fans. After two years of Samurai, the fans were hanging out for something with a bit more substance, and "Mega Mission" delivered that along with the MMPR homages that were expected of the episode.

Updates to the PIP
A few entries added, especially several regarding Megaforce questions- such as issues regarding Tensou's story and place in the timeline, and the question- Ernie?

Samurai and Super Samurai Scheduling
Well, what idiot came up with the scheduling of Samurai? I’ve been sitting on this topic for a while, essentially waiting until the whole of Samurai had finished airing. It was a frustrating wait. So what is the deal with scheduling, and why is it so frustrating? Well, since Megaforce is just around the corner, I thought now would be the best time to dive into this annoying topic...

Introducing the Power Rangers Plot Inconsistencies Project
I have been working on a list of every plot hole in Power Rangers for a few months now (putting off a couple of articles to work on it...), and it's at the point where it can be unveiled. Essentially the Plot Inconsistencies Project is a chronicling of the various plot holes that Power Rangers has, and the various theories that have been dreamed up by the fandom to fix said plot holes.
The list is by no means exhaustive- the Kalish era for one needs a lot more entries (I am not very familiar with his seasons, especially MF) and answers to several problems with LR need to be found. That said, it's already a pretty packed article, especially the section about PRT.
You can access the project by either clicking on the link below or by clicking PIP on the right.
Enjoy!

Hexagon Proposal Analysed
It's been known for a long time that there was an alternative, Ranger War style story proposed for Ninja Storm. Well, the details have finally been released, and they sure are interesting. To read the full text of the explanation, go here. To read an analysis of it, click below!

Why Young Me Liked Power Rangers
Many times when people talk about why PR was initially a phenomenon, they tend to say that it’s because it was something that people hadn’t seen before. However, speaking from my own personal experience, I would disagree with that. In fact, many of the aspects of the show were immensely familiar to me. So here are the reasons the young me liked Power Rangers from the moment the first episode aired.

Why the MMPR Movie Trailer Failed
Not long ago, some film makers made a trailer for a fan film called MMPR Movie. Very quickly, the thread discussing the trailer and subsequent fundraising efforts on rangerboard descended into trolling and some quite harsh personal abuse. What I am going to do here is talk about why the trailer failed to captivate the attention and imagination of the fandom (as well as funding), and perhaps what should have been done instead.
PLEASE NOTE: I define ‘failure’ as an inability to get anywhere near the target donation level. With 27 hours left, I doubt they’ll get the extra $99,300 required.

Power Rangers Redux Review
Recently Ron Wasserman announced that he was working on a project where he would re record various music from MMPR using modern technology. Of course, the fans went nuts, rightly proclaiming it to be a totally awesome idea. Over the weeks that followed, Ron uploaded rough board mixes which whet the appetite of the fans’ appetites for what was to come. However, did the album live up to expectations?

Another Week Off for the Schedule
Looks like there'll be no Super Samurai this weekend. While it gives me a n opportunity to work out what's been going on with my internet connection of late, it's still pretty shithouse. I'm working on an article covering the scheduling of Samurai and Super Samurai... methinks it'll be a long one once the season is finished...

Industrial Relations, Saban Style
All
fans are aware that Saban is somewhat... careful with his money. Two
examples that are commonly brought up are the cast walkout halfway
through MMPR2 and the (rumoured) walkout of most of the talent when they
found out the real wages they’d make for acting in Samurai. However, we’ve only really worked on hearsay when it comes to the sort of conditions the people at PR work under. Until now.
Werewolf.co.uk has spilled the beans on the sort of contract that the
cast and crew are required to sign when they become a part of the Power
Rangers family.

Foul Play in the Sky Review
Squat
sneaks a sleeping potion into Kimberly’s uncle pilot’s drink, and send
out a monster to take out a Power Rangers team with one member short.
Bulk and Skull are slightly less annoying than usual, possibly due to
them being unconscious most of the time.

In Defence of Samurai
Samurai (and when I talk about Samurai here, I am referring collectively to Samurai and Super Samurai)
receives a lot of flak from the fandom in general. While it is far from
being an instalment of the franchise to rival such seasons as In Space or RPM,
many of its negative aspects have been over time exaggerated and given
too much emphasis. So here are my general responses to criticisms of Samurai that have been made, plus a few extra points.
